Upon arrival at Sepinggan Airport of Balikpapan, drive directly to a local restaurant for lunch. Then, drive to Loa Janan village which is located 110 km to the North. At the pier of this village you board a House Boat which will serve as a Floating Hotel and depart for Dayak land. (L,D)
After a brief stop at MUARA Muntai to obtain our official permit, , continue to the fishing villages of Jantur, Tanjung Jone , and Tanjung Hour. You arrive at Tanjung Issuy, one of the main Dayak villages in the afternoon. Upon arrival your group will be welcomed with a traditional ceremony lead by a village chief and his people. In the evening, attend a Dayak cultural performance in the village. Overnight and meals in The Long House of Dayak Benuaq. (B,L,D)
This morning you have opportunity to explore the village and to get to know the tribal way of live, their beliefs, arts and handicrafts. You will also visit the Tribal Cemetery. If the water condition permits, continue to Mancong village in the hinterland, using a canoe known as "Ketinting", then return to Lake Jempang and board a House Boat. Overnight and meals are on board. (B,L,D)
Cruising down Mahakam River, return to Balikpapan, a stop will be made in Tenggarong to observe the Sultan's collection in the Museum. Arrive at Balikpapan late afternoon and proceed directly to a hotel for accommodation and meals. (B,L,D)
