6 Days Papua - The Baliem Valley & Biak Memorial Tour

DAY 01: JAYAPURA or SENTANI
Upon arrival at Sentani Airport (Jayapura), transfer to Jayapura-the Capital city of East Papua province with direct check-in to your hotel. (L,D)

DAY 02: JAYAPURA - WAMENA
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the Airport to depart for Wamena, located in the Baliem valley. Upon arrival walk to your hotel or similar for accommodation and meals. After lunch, you visit the local market to see the Dani people selling and buying their daily needs, then walk across a picturesque hanging bridge to Wesaput, a traditional village. Return to hotel. DAY 03: WAMENA
Breakfast at hotel. Explore Dani villages, including Ayekama village to see the smoked mummy of the chief strongly believed to offer protection for the people. Then on to other surrounding villages to see traditional huts and to learn about Dani culture and beliefs. Return to Hotel. (B,L,D)

DAY 04: WAMENA - BIAK
Breakfast at hotel. Walk to the Airport for your departure to Biak island. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for accommodations and meals. (B,L,D)

DAY 05: BIAK
Breakfast at hotel. Full day explore Biak Island, visit the Japanese cave, explore the island to see the people’s life and to learn the history of World War II where Biak was one of the base of Japanese and later the Allied Forces.(B,L,D)

DAY 06: BIAK - OUT
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport to depart for your next destination. (B)
